walshie 2,804
After years of saying I wouldn't get NV, I have now. An RFD mate of mine had 2 Yukon XT 6.5 x 50s in to test and kept one for himself and offered me the other at a price I couldn't resist. I know the answer is probably on here in the depths of this forum, but can someone give me a quick answer as to what IR to get and do I just put it on with a figure 8 clamp or similar? Is it good for centrefire ranges or should i just keep it on my rabbit gun? Cheers.
hutchey 147
T20 with new AS pill or the T50 with same Nightmaster is an option but overly priced

IanB 0
Walshie the thing with the photon, being a tube style, you can just use a figure of 8 clamp like you said. Grab one of these 50mm torches from ludicrous lumens http://www.ludicrous-lumens.co.uk/T50Mini_50mm_Aspheric_zoom_lens_torch_or_850nm_IR_iluminator/p2616500_13825106.aspx You do not need anything more for the photon. walshie 2,804
Cheers Ian. What sort of ranges am I realistically looking at with one of those?
NELS0N 457
walshie, speak to that "somebloke" chap on the NV forum he will see you right with what you need.
IanB 0
Dave aka somebloke is on here also, I don't think he is dealing in torches any more though. The range of the torch will be well over what your going to be shooting with a photon. As an example a similar torch lights my drone up well past 300yds. You will easy get 200yds with the photon and this torch.
walshie 2,804
That's good enough for me. Cheers.
