Wales1234 5,515
Any of you struggle with motivation ? I'm just about to get up to walk to the dogs at first light and never struggle to motivate myself to get up and go with them ! But training and eating wise of never been able to keep the motivation going I played for Cardiff Blues u16s and u18s and wales u16s and 18s in both codes of rugby league and union but never done any of the weights or diets they give me looking back what a f***ing tit but last season I got on the right track hit the weights and Dieted but done my and back to square one ! Before the op and two weeks after it I was right up for training and was eating right but how easily you can hit a funk and can't pull myself out of it !! My little cousin just got selected for Cardiff Blues u16s and for some reason it give me a kick up the arse to get back on track !! Anyone else struggle with the drive and motivation to train? Or do what ever is your thing?
Hydropotesinermis 724
It comes in peaks and troughs for me, I might have a fortnight, three weeks, month of being ultra f***ing keen, generally see results pleased with my progress etc etc then either fatigue or lack of sleep from work or some other thing sets in and every single rep is a b*****d chore. I have to force myself to do my training it seems to take forever, usually I will throw in an extra rest day if I can, or do some swimming or something instead, sometimes that freshens me up. I think I struggle because of my job I have no routine, I can't say what time or day I will be doing anything, I just have to fit it in whenever, so sometimes it's easy, sometimes it's the last thing I want to do. One thing I do know is that if I go away somewhere and I can't train for say a week after a couple of days I feel like a wet rag, all lifeless, like a petrol car that's been filled up with diesel. Usually remembering that feeling is enough when my motivation is lowest to force me to stop being a c**t and start working.
Wales1234 5,515
I'm off work at the moment so no routine what so ever walk the dogs and eat is all I'm doing ! Pretty tidy when I'm in work 8-4 Monday to Friday plenty of free time like !!
marshman 7,757
It's already been said but lack of sleep and my motivation takes a dive , I start eating the wrong foods and it all goes the way of the pear. If I've a good routine ie sleep food taking the dogs out no drama I seem to stick at it .

Haha If it really interests me, I'm there! On the button.........the moment my interest slides.....then I find it really hard to re-motivate myself.
