gnasher16 30,206
My fascination with fast cars started when i was a passenger in a RS 500 Cosworth....id always liked the works Escorts but this Cosworth just blew me away it was like being in a computer game......had some cars since that would piss all over that Cosworth but very few have had the character those old Escorts had.....i still see an old Mk 1 Avo owners club RS that i owned in the early ,s last i heard it changed hands for over 30k !!.....I sold it for a grand after it had been sitting in my garage for a year in the late ,s.......some businessman ! The rs 500 was a sierra ... and a mk1 sierra with the whale tail, the rs500s are big bucks nowadays If i remember right they was only made in White,Black and Moonstone Blue........the one i went in was the first car i was ever genuinely frightened in i was like a little old woman hiding down in the footwell ......seen a few mk1 and 2 Escorts with the Cosworth lump that could certainly shift ! treecreeper 1,136
seen a cosworth today, always been vw but got a soft spot for the old rs and tricked up r5s etc, a mate had a gt turbo raider that was mint but it got nicked. iv been in seriously fast in new cars but they never seem as quick nowadays that everything doesn't rattle, id rather crash a new car though Now iv got a estate, its good for dog and kids and crunch big miles but it aint much fun unless its off road, used to have a orange mk1 golf with a mk3 gti engine in, two seats and a roll cage it was mental but in a good way, wish id never sold it. South hams hunter 8,923
I live looking at these old cars. My father in law has a humbre sceptre, started with a rally 1.8 in it. Now has a 3.5 v8 with the 4.6 and nos at the garage ready to go in. Seriously scary car and back end flies out at every corner
