Cargol 302
Do you lads that use shavings not find you end up with shit loads in the runs. Especially when you have dogs with a jacket it must stick to them when there in and out of there bed boxes. Id be worried about to much going down the drain. Quote Link to post
Keepbordersworking 103
Yeah that's the downside it is pretty messy Quote Link to post
Rabbit Hunter 6,613
Feck that idea then, I hate the runs and garden looking untidy! I'll stick to the waxed shredded paper, it's the best stuff I've used. Quote Link to post
rob84 112
vet bed is the best i have tried, easy washed, quite hard material even if you have a constant chewer. the only thing that i didnt like about shavings was that the dogs would take their meat back into thier beds and the meat would get caked in it, didnt like it and cant be good form them eating it. ok if you one or two and feed them outside their runs but it did not work. also drains a right bas%$£d for blocking them! Rabbit Hunter 6,613
That's my worry about vetbed, I have a couple that are twats for chewing and I think they'd eat it in no time! Quote Link to post
gnipper 6,529
These things of mine won't leave vet bed or blankets etc in there beds it gets dragged straight out. Rubber matting at the moment and will be on waxed paper in the winter. Quote Link to post
Cargol 302
Iv got one that used to drag the vet bed out every day so the twat is on rubber matting now. The rest leave it alone. Quote Link to post
rob84 112
With the vet bed if they drag it out you could get some metal wall plate straps and cut lengths to go around the vet bed and screw it to their beds Quote Link to post
lewi 7
Shredded wax paper I find the best. Straw I found my dogs enjoyed pissing on it. Have used old clothes but this wax papers sound and a bale will last me 6 months for 1 terrier n 1 lurcher. Quote Link to post
Keepbordersworking 103
Quite a few lads like the wax paper were do you get it from I'd like to check it out. Quote Link to post
Rabbit Hunter 6,613
Usually equine places sell it. Have a type on Google I'm sure you'll find it on there somewhere. Quote Link to post
mouse 282
I use horse rugs. Nice and warm and waterproof as well and easy to wash and dry Quote Link to post
lewi 7
My mate gets it in bulk. I think maybe from dog track up in Swindon? I have seen it on a cpl of online sites but can't comment on the quality as it may be different to the stuff I'm using. Shavings I'd personally not use as you don't know what dust your dogs breathing in? Quote Link to post
