Atb ATIts a useful tool to disguise a piss poor hunter,i hid behind it for many a year, then i saw the light,of day how did you come to that conclusion? Haha atb AT I walked the daytime walk and often went home empty handed, then bought a bike battery for a £5,ripped a wipac off a farmers toyota, wired them together and murdered the resident animal populace that otherwise evaded my useless jukels attention, then walked the "dales walk" and furnished my new found ambition and ego for the next 7 years, only then did i come to realise i was a cheating, useless and third rate hunter,it was good whilst the ego lasted though. 4 Quote Link to post

Haha atb ATI walked the daytime walk and often went home empty handed, then bought a bike battery for a £5,ripped a wipac off a farmers toyota, wired them together and murdered the resident animal populace that otherwise evaded my useless jukels attention, then walked the "dales walk" and furnished my new found ambition and ego for the next 7 years, only then did i come to realise i was a cheating, useless and third rate hunter,it was good whilst the ego lasted though.Deep shit that, so Morton what is the correct way to hunt or do you just not do it anymore ? Atb AT Ive yet to find the correct way,at times when the dogs connect i honestly wish they had missed ,then when they miss i curse their inaptitude, ive yet to find the balance between connecting and missing that sits well with my conscience now, i yearn for the long and testing gallop that tests the mutt and feel the sense of relief when it gets away.I have a bitch pup here now that mullers long gallops and i put it on a leash to stop it,at times,,im not sure where i sit now,yet know ive a few more years left in me of indescision.Until then ill just enjoy what the day brings and hope the dog runs fast and the quarry runs faster, sometimes.I used to be indecisive now im not sure. 2 Quote Link to post

When the obsessions with numbers is out of the system its a feeling of quality over quantity. I like daytime work for that simple reason these days. . . the most pleasure i get is when I'm doing whatever it is day or night... alone. . .there is something magical about the perfect lamping night, when your out facing the elements on your own. its hard to explain but I often have a moment where I feel blessed to be allowed to be there.
