perthshire keeper 1,239
May be all 44 cats would still be alive if the owners looked after them and not let them Rome all over the streets and gardens shitting all over and over 2 years probably means that some one kept getting new ones too..

gnipper 6,475
Someone's been doing a load near me too but some of the local bunny huggers think it's salmon covered in weedkiller and say it smells of weedkiller? I don't know about you but I don't think a moggy is that daft.
socks 32,253
There is no excuse for killing some kids pet or some poor old dears only companion ... This place would erupt if it was dogs being poisoned ........ Give it a rest socks ffs, we don't let our companions run a mock in the streets, pissing an shitting everywhere now do we, an if you did, you'd have to take your beans for not looking after it. I don't know where you live but it must be the only place in the world we're there isn't dog shit on the roads and piss stains up the walls and lamp posts ......... shepp 2,285
I don't really understand this 'whataboutery'? Someone complains about cat's being left to wander and kill birds and shit everywhere. Then you can guarantee someone will come back with 'what about dogs fouling the footpath etc? Like anybody thinks that's a good thing or thinks it makes the cat shit less bad wtf??
runem 533
An investigation has begun after 44 cats were poisoned on two neighbouring streets in Boston in Lincolnshire in the last two years, probably from de icer. The RSPCA says the deaths are unlikely to be accidental - especially at this time of year. Police say its down to the RSPCA to investigate so stand by for a fit up of the first car mechanic in the street. Cant stand cats. Look on the bright side, that's about 1000 nesting birds that will survive next season PS I don't live anywhere near there How can someone be responsible for poisoning the cats, has he forced poison/anti freeze down their throats i think not, maybe left a container open. If the the cats are drinking on their own accord they could be committing suicide.

dark-destroyer-85 636
Seen on the news it could be that people are putting antifreeze in garden ponds or bird baths or fountains maybe drinking that water don't like cats personally so don't care

socks 32,253
get a fine here of your dog shits pavement, same as if your dog found wandering streets on its own, I got a toddler here that lobes playing in OUR garden, we also have about 20 cats in a 10 house streets, these cats get fed in owners gardens, and never let indoors by majority of owners. W have just had to get rid of flower beds, as there was constantly shit in them, they shit and spray all over any toys left in garden, and to top things off they keep trying to come in our windows when left open a touch in summer, have broke a few pairs of blinds in process,.cruel or not, first cat I find in my toddlers room or in house when new baby comes in Sept will be crucified in the street I bet you don't ....... shepp 2,285
I agree mate, but I have approa ched these neighbours nicely, told em about the blinds, told em about the kids toys, and not one bothered there arse, some cat folk actualy care about there cats, but there are loads that turf them out when they ain't cute kitttens anymore, let them breed like rats whilst feeding them in garden. Other than dealing with some for a farmer friend a few years ago iv never wished any cat ill harm I think in your shoes I would start catching the worst offenders and take them to a rescue centre a long distance away.
BGD 6,436
I care about my pets so I don't leave them to wander round unattended where they could be hit by cars, caught by dogs, get into fights with other cats, get caught by foxes or badgers and yes, get poisoned by mentalists. Why can't all cat owners do the same? If you're not even going to take basic steps to keep your pet safe you can't be too upset when something happens to it...
