ludders76 6
I have a Brno mod2 22lr. She is a beaut and until recently she was shooting 1" groups at 90 yards. However today at 60 yards groupings have opened up to 2". I am shooting same ammunition type eley subs. I'm mystified, I have cleaned it since loss of accuracy and put 20 rounds through it but still no improvement. Is it me having a bad day??? 1 Quote Link to post
shropshire dan 467
If it has a mod try it without that way if it's better you know it's the mod. I had this problem and turned out rounds were clipping the mod slightly internally. Since changed mod and back on accuracy. I have the same rifle beautiful rifles Quote Link to post
andyf 144
Must be something else, most likely Scope and/or Scope Mounts. Try taking the scope and mounts off, also the rings off the scope, then 'start again' wind both the turrets fully all the way out and back, then wind them to mid position, re-mount from the ground up and re zero, if the groups are still cack. I bet the scopes had it. Brno's don't wear out or 'go-off', not in 22rf anyway. Quote Link to post

SportingShooter 0
Crown of the barrel might also be worth a check and if the barrel is free floating within the stock, make sure it's not touching either edge. Quote Link to post

The Eley subs in my CZ452 don't seem to be grouping as well as they did. I put it down to cleaning the barrel (shouldn't have touched it) but perhaps it's the ammo? Quote Link to post
ludders76 6
Gents thanks for all the advice. I will try all of it. I was head shooting woodies at seventy yards a couple of weeks ago! I'll update when I've done all of the above. Cheers. Quote Link to post
Jax13 251
I noticed larger groups with eley than I used to get. Maybe the quality / consistency has slipped a little? Quote Link to post
