If Carlsberg Done Holidays.....

Cheers lads

Had a cracking trip out in the kayak yesterday.

Dug a load of lug on "our beach" lol, and paddled out into the bay.. Went out into a lot deeper water and tied onto the lobster pot bouys, kept catching big brown crabs, but they'd let go at the last minute, a few edible size!

Had a few small pollack, then saw fins breaking the glassy surface about 300 yards away, untied and paddled towards them as quick as I could..

Next surface was where I started lol, paddled half way and waited.. Started to spin for pollack when I heard a big swooooosh behind me.. Turned round and a pod of 4 or 5 porpoise were 10 ft off the back of the kayak, the were around me for a minut or 2 then back down on the hunt.. Makes you feel little on a kayak but a stunning sight none the less..

I paddled around a steep sided island where there was a good depth of water below, the tide ran well around it and by slowly spinning a lure in the tide I caught some cracking pollack, to about 6lb great fun on real light gear and braid..

They were filleted on the beach and the carcusses are going in the pots today to try and catch us a crab or maybe a lobster..
