Popular Post NEWKID 27,530
This would take some beating.. acres of land, a cottage on the beach, kayaks and a boat to use, the kids and dogs can roam free... I think I could have found a slice of heaven here lol.. Oh and the phone hardly ever works.. It's perfect..

NEWKID 27,530
Place called Roshven, near Lochailort West coast of Scotland.. About 30 miles on from Fort William.. We couldn't find anywhere to stay and found this place 2 in the morning on the day we were leaving, it is unreal mate.. Beautiful house in the middle of nowhere with stunning views, the beach in the pics is our back garden lol, It's an old boathouse in the grounds of a Manor House, the owner is big on his hunting.. ( I'll put some pics up of his photos around the place) There is a boat store attached to our cottage, which has kayaks, paddle boards, windsurfers and a small boat with a 5hp engine in it, we can use it all!! I took the kids up the loch in it yesterday, watching seals.. Went up the Ben Nevis range today, that's the photos. What a view!! Off to see Jim next week for the pup, the kids know nothing about it so will be a nice finishing touch lol Edited July 29, 2015 by NEWKID

robbo 867
Enjoy it kev, its stunning up there, its worth a trip over towards mallaig if you get the time. Not for mallaig itself but there are some fantastic beaches and scenery over that way. You can spend a day on the beach and not see another living soul. Heaven.

Classy touch not telling the kids about the pup as well.... Might look tropical through a fecking Scotsman's eyes! Does look nice though. West coast of Scotland is beautiful. Nearest thing to proper wilderness we can find on our island.
NEWKID 27,530
Cheers lads, Mailag is the closest town to us Bry, about 20 mins away there are a couple of of shops in Arisaig which is a little closer, and like you say the beaches are deadly quiet and stunning..... I wouldn't go as far as tropical though Lab.. Lol.. Done a bit of fishing off the Kayak, caught small pollack and coalies but seen a few sea trout jumping near the beach out the front so gonna have a try for them..

robbo 867
We stayed at arisaig Kev, on a working farm. the farmer collected all the kids and took them to help shearing the sheep. They absolutely loved it. Take a look at the bottom of the waterfall on the river morar, their were some rather large salmon in there when we were up there. The old girl in the spar at arisaig nearly fainted when we asked for two loaves the first time we went in. Oh no sonny if you want two you will have to order them the day before. Have a good un . speak to you when you get back. Keep the pictures coming
