Ben Houghton 4
Also is 375 a reasonable price ? Quote Link to post
moxy 617
It's not nicked!! Why's there no adapter at the least? Quote Link to post
bullmastiff 615
Yes there should be an adaptor with it.if you can test fire it then all's well. There's not a huge amount of things to go wrong with pcps. Mainly seals (you can buy seal kits from chambers pretty cheap) Quote Link to post
Rez 4,961
Hows the current owner filling it? Its a good price I think. Looks proper too. Quote Link to post
mark williams 7,551
Ben - "no adaptor" does not sound right to me - sorry. Quote Link to post
walshie 2,804
He didn't say it had no adapter. He said it had no pump or bottle and asked if it should come with an adapter. Quote Link to post
bigmac 97kt 13,786
Ben - "no adaptor" does not sound right to me - sorry. Remember all them rifles that were nicked from that rfd not so long ago ? atvbmac  Quote Link to post
SimonC_Here 36
Why is it surprising that it doesn't come with a bottle or pump? They guy might be keeping his bottle for the other dozen pcp's he's still got. It's not being sold as a kit to get you started. It may come with an adaptor, but as it's a standard foster fitting it may not, but they are cheap enough to get. Remember bottle or pump will set you back ~£150 depending on what you get. secretagentmole 1,701
The owner may be keeping the adapter to make his own fast fill kit! Basically make sure it does not lead, that the power is below 12 ft lb and that it fires! The X2 is a great rifle, the price seems good, we paid £275 for an X2, cylinder, bipod, targets, gunbag and Hawke MAP 6A scope about 5 years ago as the bloke wanted a carriage for his horse (honestly that was the reason for sale). We thought the price was so good we did not argue with him. They are a great gun and surprisingly reliable given the current problems at Daystate, that one also has the thumbhole stock which makes it a slightly rarer beastie! My old X2! Quote Link to post
Ben Houghton 4
Thanks for the advice guys , went to have a look it didn't have a adaptor , there easy damage that you couldn't see in the photo and some knob ha strayed to drill a hole in the bottom of the stock I asked why and got the "I don't know I'm selling it for a mate" ... Verry suspect if you ask me haha so I declined his offer , shame such a nice gun got ruined . Oh well onwards and upwards looking a hw100 on the weekend witch is origanly what I wanted any way cheers lads 1 Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
No adaptor does suggest that it was slightly warm to the buyer! The hole in the stock may have been a bungled QD stud fitting. You did the best thing! Quote Link to post
