Bible Questions For Francie And Anyone Else With An Opinion

You are wasting your time pal, I have this argument over and over with xtian friends, etc and not one of them can contradict the fact that the "book" was written by humans, I could write a book and claim to be the son of god, and there would probably be some idiots that believed me, its a rule book to control the masses, nothing else.

Don't think so Charlie, of course it was written by humans, at least your not saying monkeys, an by the way it was the apostles who wrote the new testament, not Jesus, so if you wrote this book would your mates back you up an call you the son of God an be willing to die for it, I think not, very weak argument.

Again no evidence to prove bible wrong, just your opinion., :)

Weak argument my arse,by dint of the fact that as you readily admit, it was written by humans, call them apostles or zombie spider monkeys, they remain HUMANS, and so filled the little story book with materiel that suited them,I never intimated that Jesus wrote it, Adolf hitler started out life as an ordinary bloke, but plenty looked upon him as a god, and I think you will agree, plenty were willing to die for him, ok he did not say he was the son of god, but with a little twisting I am sure many would have believed he was, your point there is less than weak, it is pathetic blind faith, but then hey lets not let the truth get in the way of a good story, because that is all it is, dreamed up by human beings.

Again no evidence to disprove anything in the bible, plenty of evidence to back up the bible story mate, an calling names just show you've nothing, an blind faith is also your leader, plenty of people in the field of science agree with the biblical account, that vid I posted above, marine biologist, he's one.

That fella might be on God side, but that doesn't take away the fact that the above, acticus, liny, Josephus, etc, all wrote what they did, an they were non believers.

So truther, are you saying these men didn't write these, an there not recorded, an that Christian fella made it up?

No mate, i'm not disputing the references were written, they exist right enough, but there's no hard evidence that any of them refer to your jesus, so it's just opinions/speculation based on what these christian scholars believe, in a court of law its called "hearsay" "evidence" is hard provable facts, you're taking opinions as fact. And i've read some atheist scholars interpretations of the same material, you can slant it either way tbh.

And I suppose you are going to come out with some startling new evidence to prove virgins have babies are you, or perhaps walking on water is possible? Really how anyone can be taken in by such hogwash is beyond me, but then to be fair that is what Christianity teaches,BLIND FAITH, and not to question anything, as to do so is blasphemy,I genuinely wish you well, and if belief in some imposter religion from overseas gives you comfort, then fair play, I will stick with the original beliefs of my own race, but good luck, all the same

These topics are always similar to start with and always identical to end, with the insults and name calling flying about.

Let's just face it. neither side can PROVE anything. Theories on the one hand and writings on the other hand are just what you believe.

Francie I asked before, why can't you just accept people believe different things to you? You aren't going to change anyone's mind by copying and pasting a list of people who believe the same as you. It's the same list as you pasted before I suspect.

I appreciate this topic was god related from the start, but you have a knack of twisting every topic that way.

This is a hunting/fieldsports site with a general section - NOT a god section. There is no subsection for religion.

If you want to keep on this bickering going 24 hours a day, please keep it to this thread because future ones will be removed on sight.

Thanks.

No, not quite truther. I can follow your logic, but only so far. You're missing the vital component - The Holy Spirit - If the Holy Spirit's divine guidance was there during writing, you can be sure He was there during the compilation!

If mans agenda was evident in the scriptures then I could sympathise with your disposition, but God's agenda is undeniable. It's theme speaks of salvation from God, not service to man. It commands to "give preference to one another" and to "treat others how you would want to treated" not to bow to the hierarchies. "Test all things"! Not accept all things.

We have a book that covers all things with divine authority, from Origins to eternity and everything in between including morals, ethics and economics. Is it any wonder we believe it's form God?? Our jurisdiction was built on it! Look at the mess we're in now that we are abandoning it.

Of course we believe it's fact, the assurance you receive at the time of salvation affirms that. On the contrary, what does your disposition offer? Essentially "we don't know" but we're confident we'll find out. Well, maybe some already have.

I've seen the hardest of hearts melted, the cruelest of minds cured - Jesus changes lives in a way nothing else comes close.

"No, not quite truther. I can follow your logic, but only so far. You're missing the vital component - The Holy Spirit - If the Holy Spirit's divine guidance was there during writing, you can be sure He was there during the compilation!"

If there's no "god" how can there be "the holy spirit" ? again its just your opinion, it means absolutely nothing, all you can do is offer an "opinion" however its dressed up to look like facts.

You can't see the "agenda of men" in the bible..........you got it bad don't you FM?

"Of course we believe it's fact, the assurance you receive at the time of salvation affirms that. On the contrary, what does your disposition offer? Essentially "we don't know" but we're confident we'll find out. Well, maybe some already have."

There you go again FM, you believe its fact, then the "assurance you receive at salvation" what assurance? you mean the imagined enlightenment in your head, these aren't real things FM........you keep insisting on bringing opinions into the debate, they mean nothing and add no weight to your argument.

And your opinions mean something?? Ha "means nothing"? That's your view - like I said "I've seen lives changed" my life changed and that speaks more to me than any bigoted views like yours.

You wouldn't know anything of the assurance I speak of as you have no interest in it?!? It's something you know next to nothing about, wise to refrain from ridiculing. Got it bad? Don't know what you mean. I do know I have a greater understanding of the good book than you do and so I can tell you with little doubt what the agenda is - and it's not that of men

Now Truther, defend your disposition? What is it you believe and why??

As I have said before. You are all wasting your time trying to discuss anything logical with a zealot.

Mentally not all there.

Yeah like your family, not very nice thing to say about your family, eh

Just shows what an ignorant little man you are.

So come on let's here it, what's your races, original beleif, your words.

Let's discuss something else for a change.

If it makes anyone feel better that we are "mentally not there" then good for you. But remember our views differ little from intellectuals, scientists and academics who have changed (for the better) how human beings live - it's not matter of intelligence, it's all to do with the heart and humility of man.

We have seen lives changed by the gospel and we cannot deny it's power.

I make no excuses for my belief, I believe in something good........a narrative much better, simpler, honest and cleaner than the one fed to us by the modern powers that be.

I don't want proof and I don't need to prove anybody wrong who may not believe as I do.......as long as they are happy, that will do ;)
