haymin 2,465
My lad had a flying lesson the other day. They asked if I fancied being a passenger/observer for the flight, so I went. Something I didn't expect though was having to wait short of the runway for a Spitfire to land. Didn't get a picture though as I couldn't see over the dash from the back seat. Just as we were leaving another one took off and I didn't get a picture of that either as it caught me by surprise. The noise of a Spitfire at full chat is something everyone should hear. At least I got a picture of the plane we went in. 20150723_181337(0).jpg like ???

mackem 26,874
I have had quite a few microlight lessons, its more primitive flying than an aeroplane, its like seat of your pants exhilaration, but i just did a paramotoring flight and landed less than an hour ago, absolutely incredible, the silence below the canopy was fantastic, truly like being a bird, and the landing was like the best rollercoaster ride ever but in total silence.

Paramotoring ain't quite, unless your engine fails. Paragliding is.
