neems 2,406
I'd put a dog down if it made life difficult with no pay off,or if it was a handfull and I couldn't look after it anymore. We already treat animals too much like humans in our society.
neems 2,406
I don't see the logic of all your connections be it relationships you have with your dogs whether humanizing them or keeping them as stock or somewhere in between , theft connected to husbandry? I personally would shift the scale up a few notches throughout the whole justice system the only thing this topic really asked was whether or not there should be higher penalties for dog thieves than there are at present and should the crime be taken more seriously by the police. My answer to that irrelevant of whether Mrs Jones gives twinkle her saucer of tea or old tom keeps some beat up old curs in the shed is yes every time. Yes the penalty for theft should be higher but theft of dogs should not be out of proportion to any other property of similar value. they'd be pushing for assault and murder charges before long.
