I rarely post on "racial" subjects on here,I find some peoples views abhorrent....this however is disgraceful Why the f**k should we have to speak a second language to be a copper??? Its not hard to work out that the vast majority of people eligible for an application will speak English as a second language,discrimination surely?? At school I had to do French,German and Latin....thought at the time it was a ridiculous waste of school time and my opinion has only strengthened over the years....NO foreign languages at all should be taught as a compulsory subject as part of the curriculum ,Id love to know the statistics for people actually using their GCSE in French,german etc either for their career or on holidays etc I bet its less than 5-10%....statistically there will be more brickies,postmen,taxi drivers etc etc,none of these are part of the curriculum....languages should only be an option at yr10,then those who wish to study them have that OPTION,they should not be forced on the masses ....countries f****d,I have proud to be british tattooed on one arm and union jack on the other,if I ever get back to work the first thing Im doing is getting them covered,Id rather have a portrait of Brian May on my arm.....
