Personally I think anything more than 200 is getting into pisstake territory for an unproven dog 1 Quote Link to post

steamingutpiles 117
Hello fellow terriermen. I came across several letters posted on the forum back in january 2014 with regards to the jagdterrier. I sent a reply yesterday but it does not look as if it has been posted. I have as far as i am aware, i am one of the only breeding kennels of working jagdterriers bred from direct imported and proven Hungarian and Serbian bloodlines. From the posts i read there would appear to be a lot of misunderstanding regarding the breed and their capabilities, therefore if anyone would like to ask me anything please feel free as i am quite happy to pass on the knowledge and experience i have gained with these super, game and bold working terriers. Yours in sport, Richard Waterside Kennels, Norfolk. Which Serbian lines do you have? The website claims asstraata. There is no more detail than that. Who did you get your dogs off Richard? Those Vom Asstraataa dogs of Stanko Delic's are the real McCoy. Yes. The ones I have seen definitely go to ground and are mustard on billies and foxes. I'm not sure about the Hungarian dogs though. Its all about contacts. I've offered lads pups from proven parents (working certificate and dug to all European quarry, Serbian Asstraa vom Asstraada lines), delivered to your door for E800. But no one wants to put there hand in their pocket. Proven working dogs/bitches are avail for E1200. There are black and tan terriers avail from the pound for E35. But are they jagdterrier? Zilverhaze 1,627
From a open minded view that you will never stop people selling dogs and shuldent really be botherd what other people do with ther dogs I think a fair price for a jagd pup at the moment in uk considering ther not all over the place to be gifted and the expenses to get 2 back shuld be about 350 not that ther worth anymore or better than the dogs here already but purely for the availability expense and effort put in to go and get them ... I don't think jagds will ever take of in the UK with digging lads to be honest Reasons 1. Ther super high rate and very vocal most lads have neighbors to keep in mind 2. Patterdales are better digging dogs 2 Quote Link to post

steamingutpiles 117
Jagd Terriers (at least the ones I have, are very vocal - trail barkers). Specialist "hole" dogs like Patts (the well bred ones) are hard to beat at their craft. There are plenty of Jagdterriers which will give them a run for their money - but as a general proposition, as far as holes go the "real" Fell Terriers are KING. The Vom Asstraataa line is a good one but here are plenty of others as good and in many cases better. Quote Link to post

There are some good bids of him working boar on YouTube. Once I retire I intend on getting seriously into Jagdterriers. I'd like my own digging line, but very much enjoy the boar driving as well... Yours in sport, Richard Waterside Kennels, Norfolk. I Have personally seen pups out of his kennels working well to ground and they really are quite versatile if you put the time in to them personally they are no better to dig to than any other earth dog they are far better on top than most other breeds i have seen Some will say the pups are over priced but what do you pay for a good Border or Plummer you pay your £ and take your chance importing them will cost two to three times more than a pup i believe 1 Quote Link to post
Keepbordersworking 103
In my opinion these imports bring nothing to the table and will be crossed into the excellent working breed we have on these islands and will therefore be detrimental to there working ability all for the sake of £ and the so called prestige of having one or a crossed one me personally I wouldn't give one kennel room. Why would you try and fix something that isn't broken. 6 Quote Link to post
