jeemes 4,485
I dont really concern myself with whats popular or what people choose to keep,I only really care about whats in my own kennel and how to go forward with it,but I cannot understand why you believe people are better for having a Beddy cross than an Airdale cross or a Deerhound/Greyhound than a Saluki/Greyhound. Why cant you accept that folk have diffrent opinions? I dont keep Saluki lurchers but who couldnt have respect for some of the work they pull off. Thers nothing wrong with the old type of lurcher if thats what you prefer and thats the dog you should recommend to Cargol if you think its the best, and if you do I wont be knocking you for it. I wont knock your choices in an attempt to make my own look better.. 1 Quote Link to post

I wont knock your choices in an attempt to make my own look better.. Maybe read you slightly wrong? And I aint telling anyone what type to pick, just that traditional types are more than capable of all types of normal lurcherwork, and that the working lurcher scene has gone downhill since all these different types have come in, and the shit that's been bred from the poor specimens which alot of people breed from is cause for some concern. And for you to suggest that a bull x is capable of practically everything is, to me, certainly not correct. And cargol was asking for a type that could do a bit of everything, which I've personally never seen a bull x do. Not talking about line bred, racy types bred from racy types to keep speed etc in em, but you just said 'bull x.' And I'm not too sure if most people would have the time or inclination these days to start up their own line breeding project, especially given the political climate. Anyway, I'm starting to ramble lol Quote Link to post
