i was a year looking for a saluki bitch before l got one its like looking for gold we searched the country for one and its no good chasing the kennel club members for one because they think theyve got exclusive rights to salukies and no one else should have one and if you approach any of them they warn other people not to sell any they are a lot of b*****ds i found a bitch in scotland in the end they do come about but they are few and far between there is a litter of pedigree pups due in hereford in january from working salukies they will be ready in february if you aint had no joy pm me for the number you can book one of them hope this helps

So true what you say about the KC show brigade What on earth makes them think they have exclusive rights to the breed when all they do is prance around in a show ring with them Silly frumpy fecking women If I had more time and money, I would take great pleasure in infiltrating them and purchasing a pup or two only to turn round and sell them on to the working community It wouldnt be too hard to break into their ranks, from the pics I have seen on some of their websites, all I would need to do is not wear any makeup, not wash my hair for a week, think unhappy thoughts til I get a lump in my throat, buy some brown slip on shoes from Clarks and maybe pop my hair up in a bun and add an arran sweater, hey presto, my face fits

Hey I am not kidding some of those show folk are a strange breed indeed When I was about 8 my parents bought a wee house in Dumfriesshire and I remember when we went to look at it, the place was a fecking tip, the people who owned it showed Salukis, Afghans and Borzois, there was a big caravan along with the house and it was full of rosettes etc the house was full of dogshit and hair, the sink and bath were all blocked up with hair, it was like the people had lived in the caravan and let the dogs run loose in the house :sick: :sick: I hated that house it was rotten, dont know why they bought it, probably cos it was dirt cheap (literally), I will never forget the stink when we first opened the doors, makes you wonder how people can live like that

One of em tracked me down to were i work and i swear she looked EXACTLY as you described

She has a show bred "Classicus" dog and wanted my opinion on it from a working point of veiw Id managed to give her the slip for about a year now, ive enough on my plate mentoring Snoop,Tommy and Adam
