Francie 6,368
the point I was trying to make is they only travelled a short distance to get them pics, if the observatory only up there 6 years. 6 from 1400 they must be able to see it from here, now they know were it is Right, I get ya. The observatory hasn't been traveling anywhere as such, it's just been in orbit around the Sun. It's not really any closer to Kepler than we are here. The reason for sending it 'up there' wasn't to get closer to anything of interest, it was because space observatories have big advantages over Earth based observatories for a number of reasons. It can do it's job much better up there than it could down here. So since it's mission began, it's been looking at a small part of the milky way that is of interest and logging planets that it discovers. Thousands to date I believe with a few that are considered real possibilities for life. This Kepler-452b is the most similar to Earth. How is it similar to earth born, are they gravity, an atmosphere, liquid water oxygen, vegetation, similar could mean anything mate.
Francie 6,368
This man is excellent, what first ten mins an youl be hooked, a lot of brilliant, science an physics, hurt my head kanny just listening. I'd like to share this video. What Happens When You Die Dr Chuck Misslerhttps://youtu.be/Baq1wJRAmv4 Powered by TubeMate (http://tubemate.net) Give this man twenty mins of your time, an it will show how mindbogglingly complicated the universe is, it hurts your head, I just can't see how it could of happened by chance, plus there's no empirical evidence to support it.I was a believer until he started going on about the dark side and stated Harry Potter films are a danger to us... Never worry about that part then, the science is good. Lol
kanny 20,420
This is a good NON BIAS documentary that looks at all the how the universe came to be theory's ....god and the universe

And even if it is similar to Earth, who says that the inhabitants (if any) need the same elements as we do to survive?
Francie 6,368
Well they'd certainly need gravity, or they'd float away walshie lol

mushroom 12,827
Birds live in the air Francie.. Microbes, pollen, bacteria etc, see your logic is about as sound a cardboard house in the rainforest.
mushroom 12,827
PS gravity is a constant on earth and the universe its just a matter of recalculating it locally. For the record, on earth it is on average 9.81Nm/s2
Francie 6,368
Are you saying mush that all planets have the same gravitational force? Look at the moon for instance, that's different from earth's.

mushroom 12,827
That gravity exists everywhere in different field strengths and that you don't read posts properly
Francie 6,368
Yeah so what's to say this planet has gravity like earth?
mushroom 12,827
Ffs Francie read the posts!
Francie 6,368
Yeah so my point was, if it wasn't similar to our gravity, the feckers would float away, or be crushed, get it now mush.
mushroom 12,827
They would evolve to cope with it the same as fish live 7-8 miles under the ocean and geese can fly @30,000ft
