white van man 3,379
Cracking day out. And a nice looking dog you got there. Quote Link to post
Bo Duke 420
Yes Kittlerox, that's the place 1 Quote Link to post
Silversnake 1,099
Looks like a fun day out, what is the mix in your kelpie x, and how does he perform? The reason I ask is I plan to use kelpie in my lurchers in future and I am interested to hear about people's experience with the type. Nice looking animal too. Quote Link to post
Bo Duke 420
Thanks Silversnake, as far as I know the sire is a kelpie x collie so for arguments sake you could say she would be 1/4 Kelpie I guess. Quote Link to post
Neal 1,874
Steer clear of those prick eared mongrels: they're rubbish! Quote Link to post
Bo Duke 420
Yeah I've noticed haha Quote Link to post
Neal 1,874
When I had my first kelpie (the red and tan in my avatar who's still with me at over fifteen) people assumed he was a rescue mongrel and would ask if there was any German Shepherd in him. Now that I've had four of them people recognise that they're related but assume I'm extremely caring and have rescued a whole litter of mongrels. Having said that, they must be getting more common as a growing number of people now ask if they're "one of those Australian dogs," though to be honest they're usually thinking of heelers.
