I really don't like men fighting .... its scary & I don't like seeing people get hurt......... when you get older it takes longer to get over the injury's....... its not nice seeing middle aged folks brawling ..... sometimes a few choice words is effective rather than risk getting stabbed

Just before a fight I'm thinking he's bigger than me........they're always bigger!!!!!!

Got no problem two lads having a fair straighter,it's the pumped up junkie c**t or wannabe gangster type that stabs you up when you least expect it I'd be more worried about, happens all to often

Yeah you always get loads of trouble at those under 16's Disco...

I was always brutal at having a scrap and the last one I had was about eight years ago with an up an coming boxer from my area that was after giving a young lad a few digs I seen it while out was out walking my jrt so I says leave it out an he told to shut up or I'll get the same so I got stuck in every one was shouting go on Peter your milling him then I tripped up over the dog and the dirty cnut gave me a kick in the face an done a legger but im proud of the fight its the only one iv had that I didn't have to wake up and ask who won

Why is fighting illegal, why do we go to court and risk getting arrested for fighting ? I can understand if it's in a place where public can be disturbed but there's two things humans have been doing since day one and thats f***ing and fighting we don't go to court when we have sex so why do we need to go to court when we fight its natural and we will be fighting for the rest of days when mankind is around also I'm not a fighting man I don't fight unless it's for my family and being the older brother of younger brothers and sisters I feel it's my job at times u don't go looking for fights but will fight when I have to and have been to the courts and cells a few times beacuse the other person who starts the trouble cannot handle it and chooses to involve the shades

What runs through your head before a fight ??

Is it filled with hate of something or someone ?

The win ?

Or what ??

It's been a long time and long may it stay that way but I can tell you exactly what mine is......frustration then nothing.

I absolutely detest being put in the position where violence is the only resort......would always try and walk away but some people won't let you walk away.

Anyway, 40 something dad of 4 now so I have no business to be fighting and that's fine by me.

That last bit made me giggle mate.............ain't that the way of it..........the loud mouth bully types are going to "kill you" you show them the brick wall they can't climb, and they run to the law  Glad i'm getting to old for it now in some ways, and in others a bit mad about losing it, but all things considered i'm ugly enough i reckon

Every man has an ego some bigger than others if some one shows you desrespect you either stand or walk and us being men would hardly walk away me pearsonly wouldn't stand down.thats just me if I could avoid violence at first .I can handle myself besides always some bigger and better around the corner .

Some time you have to keep down when kids around mine in any ways . Then every prat that picks at some one is probably out the face

Before-Somewhere between very anxious and terrified.

During- calm and very focused.

After-buzzing.

Doesn't matter if it's a competition or a 'real' fight.

Before, somewhere between anxious and terrified.

During, somewhere between FFS and "Here we go"

After, usually A+E/unconscious! Lol

Cheers, D.

It's all about control .. Weather or not we choose to exersise control or not . I have never looked for a fight , but if I was ever in a position that my safety or pride was in danger . I could hold my own . During the foot and mouth crisis I had to walk my dogs at the local park instead of the fields . I was recovering from a back operation and was as weak as a kitten . I don't think I could have knocked the skin off a rice pudding . I got in to a confrontation with a hoody type who's staffy was running up and biting my spaniel . I asked him to control his dog or put it on a lead . He started waving his arms about and got right up to my face and in a sort of Jamaican dialect , even though he was White said , "what you gonna do"? Well the fact was , I couldn't do anything , that feeling of vulnerability was horrible . I had to back down and go home leaving that punk swaggering off . That is what it must be like for our older generation , the generation who won wars and worked all their lives . To be confronted with garbage like that and not be able to do anything any more . I have recovered now and and feeling strong again . I saw the hoody not so long back and almost pulled over and said "remember me "? But I couldn't be bothered . I don't want to lose my firearms. But one day , I might be in a different mood .
