Wxm 1,638
What runs through your head before a fight ?? Is it filled with hate of something or someone ? The win ? Or what ?? The very limited situations I've found myself in I've talked my way out of them as the thoughts that run through my head are the likes of where you hear of people getting punched once and them not getting back up ... Be it from the punch or hitting their head on the way down ? Are you really the bigger man / women for walking away or is that just a saying to make the cowards feel better for not standing up to who ever? So what's your views ?? With out the key board warriors with "yeah I fcuking smash them all over the place and fcuk the out come"

s.e.s.k.u 1,893
Any bother I've ever had have either been on the sports field( heat of the moment) or pissed up in my youth(heat of the moment) . My opinion on fighting is if you enjoy a scrap take up boxing/ cage fighting. .etc and test yourself against like minded folk..only then will you know how good you are. .

Astanley 11,571
There are far too many variables to give a definitive answer , but yes ,there are occasions when someone lacks the confidence in themselves to walk away and would rather fight ( even if they dont want to or dont have to ) than face thier own self doubts .
Accip74 7,112
It's been so long since I threw a punch I can barely remember the feelings...........when you get caught up in some random violence there's rarely time to think. The last time I had no time even to punch..........A van pulled up & a couple of geezers asked me for directions in Birmingham city centre one early Sunday morning......as I turned to explain I got smashed round the head! Hahaha.......there's some sad cnuts about haha...... Edited July 20, 2015 by Accip74
bird 9,969
it depends on the situation , sometime you can cop one in the face and it can knock the fight out of you , when you weren't expecting it . other times your well up for a fight, the nerves etc. the lot and your ready to get stuck in . the last proper fight I had was with a paki were I used to work, we were going to have a knock when we finished work . so from say 11 am - 4 30 pm was in my mind getting ready , and plus this fooker was a lot bigger than me so me mind was going overtime lol. we finished work he was standing there with his mates , I walked right up to him didn't say anything, and bang right in his face he dropped forward then I give him size 10 , that was the end of him it was over in few secs , nobody said feck all, I just walked off. But I had to leave that place I end up fighting him+ mates one or 2 ok but 4 at once forget it , plus it was crap money so was glad to see back of the place really

Guest Navek
Can always walk away from fighting in pub/ street until someone physically touches/grabs/punches/pushes you then if you fear that you will be attacked then defend your self simples really doesn't make you any more of a man because you can fight every weekend. There's a lad not far from my house and he does mixed martial arts and he is more than capable of looking after him self yet when the local scallywaggs from off the estate kicked his fence in he when out and told them to get lost.... Just because he can fight doesn't mean he has to every chance he gets
Guest Navek
And as for answering the original question of what's going through my mind .... Normal I can see a situation evolving so I remove my self from it... When I carnt I don't really think of anything other than my next move and too get out of there safely

ftm 3,357
used to get picked on as lad -me da was tough on me and then one day some lads organised a fight between me and a rival that I always feared well another hiding wouldn't make much difference I thought ----shitting myself I walked across the burn to him and we went at it I was getting a hiding [as usual] until he tore my new t-shirt [me da will fecking kill me ] I lost my temper and somehow I got on top of the lad and punched the hell out of him -he gave up but I didn't want to stop! well you know the rest lads -loads of new friends lol -I found out that day that I wasn't a push over and I have to admit became a bit of a scrapper and I always had butterflies in my guts before a fight ps I hate bullies because of my childhood experiences
CushtyJook 1,097
Sometimes adreneline just goes through you and tbh don't know what the hell in doing but that's dangerous but always try to remain calm and cool and use my head but majority of the time it all goes out the window and the adreneline takes over which is bad in my eyes anyone else share their views on that would be interesting. All it takes is to be walking driving or what ever down road for example and see someone you want to fight or have problem with and the heart starts beating extremely fast and tunnel vision sets in and before you can even think straight I've tried to remain calm but if never happens
