colliejohn 840
it,s horses for courses as they say, i like a dog with plenty of collie blood in them, i.e. reverse threequarter or first cross, my little bitch stands at 20.5 inches and she is quick off the mark and very agile, she retrevied her 84th shot long ears the other day, not bad for a little collie cur. regards collie john. All information and pics kindly Recieved iv'e had the same strain of border x greyhound for the past 25 years and they are the most loyal, clever, reliable dogs that you would ever want , my current dogs are 7/8TH greyhound 1/8TH collie , everybody slated me for puting a pure greyhound to my 3/4 greyhound 1/4 collie saying they would lose the stamina but take it from me they have bundles of it , im currently looking for a good working whippett to cover my bitch Quote Link to post

Magpie 102
I usually stay off these threads because I cant stand the sycophantic crap some people spout about Hancock, but in this instance I will make exception because what Sally says about borders and beardies is true I prefer the border for that very reason, I am short tempered and quick to anger and the border is very forgiving, you can give a border some stick either verbally or physically and they seem to love you all the more for it Try that with other more sensetive crosses and you will be watching a clean pair of heels as the dog takes off in search of a more patient and sensetive master I quite agree SJM, for the most part anyway. As I said I didn't quite get what the lad was trying to say. If he had said that Beardies can be a little more sensitive than the border, this thick old fenn boy would have understood and agreed hole heartedly. Some times you just have to draw me a diagram .I proffer a sensitive dog to a groveller and that's why I have Beardie crosses. Being a sensitive kind of Pearson myself I find they fit my personality. Although they maybe more sensitive they lack nothing in loyalty or commitment. As for being a sycophant . Some pics from our ferreting trip yesterday.... .
