Reddogfox 1
Hi I use a photon nv 5x42 on an air rifle, which is the best or tourch for the job? And I can't use the scope with the lense cover off even in pitch black, is that normal? Cheers John
hutchey 147
you shouldn't need the cap on in the dark, supposed to be off. For air gun ranges a T20 would be more than enough.

Reddogfox 1
Thanks for all your replys, Just been on the back garden with the photon to double check in not being a div.... Took the lense cap off with the built in it on and nothing is in focus not even my car and van 50m away. But with the cap on its sound. I've had it a few months and had plenty of rabbits and rats with it but might take it back to the shop and see what they say. I'm pretty sure the spotting range is reduced a lot with the cap on. Reddogfox 1
Where's best to get a t20 from? Cheers John
hutchey 147
Hate to ask a dumb question but you've played with the ocular focus and main focus haven't you to see if that works. Without the IR you should still see a fair distance in pitch black conditions.
