Strong Stuff Collars

Recommended Posts

SS collars are the most hard wearing collars going, my 6yo terrier has had one from being a pupand apart from slight wear on the d ring, its as new and all the care it has had has been the odd wash in soapy water.

Top service, good price and excellent quality, what more could anyone want?

Cheers, D.

What are you guys doing to your leather collars to have them snap? I've got a cheapy leather harness from the pet shop, had it for 7 years done 2 keeps with it and used it for daily walks for my bitch for the last 4 years. Sure all the brass plates have fallen off and its stretched a bit but its still strong as ever and I've done literally nothing to maintain it, hangs straight on the back of door when I get in and stays there til next needed.

All mine have snapped. But I fully admitt I don't do anything to maintain them.

The last lot of leather couples I got from BNF didn't even last the season.

Dogs running through streams ,bathing them, dogs hitting the ground hard, getting soil/sand/grit on it ,teeth hanging off the collars ,usual stuff.

See the harness I'm talking about has had all that happen to it and you can add swimming in the sea to that too  Honestly I'm surprised how well its lasted too but I just can't see how a running dog would put more strain on the leather than my bulldogs.

Not calling you lads that have had collars fail liars or anything, I guess I just got lucky with the quality of leather used for this cheap harness?
