bigmac 97kt 13,796
Both top class rifles both as good as each other my fav, well its a hard one????????????????? Pro sport out the box mint scope it up put the pellets in your pocket and off you go 97, needs a tune and polish out the box but once this is done wow what a rifle bad points, wait there heave bsterds and the under leaver on the pro sport feels flimsy Thats about it atvbmac  Quote Link to post
bigmac 97kt 13,796
And for me well its the 97k all day long atvbmac Quote Link to post
mark williams 7,558
Check out the Air Arms TX 200 HC before you decide Bob - solid as a rock, superb build and as good as tuned out of the box. Edited July 19, 2015 by mark williams 1 Quote Link to post
jonnie bravo 572
As above- prosport is probably the better choice out of the box, but if you are willing to put a bit of elbow grease in I reckon the hw is the better choice. I have a prosport and it's lovely. Dead easy to get into clean too, so relubing etc is probably easier than the hw. Quote Link to post
villaman 9,983
97k for me better built IMO 1 Quote Link to post
Rez 4,961
Skim read the other posts... I own both. I do not need to mention the accuracy of either. PS is devastatingly good and a better 'shooting rifle' than my 97. My own PS is a 177, and it is my HFT rifle. My 97 is an out and out brute in the field in 22. The PS is perhaps more 'delicate' than the 97, only due to the cocking mechanism, it is wank I think, but it is smooth as you like in shooting [Mine isn't standard mind]. Both rifles are pellet on pellet at 25-35 yards when you do your bit. The 97 is a good companion in the field, savagely good and it will stay with me if I had to sell the others. The 97. Id go for that if I had my time again and knew what i know now. As an extra, as Mark has said, check out the TX200, its has the ruggedness of the 97 but the shooting experience of the PS. 3 Quote Link to post
