keepitcovert 842
Goverment approval has been granted for the breeding of beagles for use in animal testing in grimston east yorks, so far 40.000 signatures have been received against this. Now i dont know how you stand on this, but im not fond of animals being used like this in the name of research. The one thing that annoys me is Brian may has spoken out against this unit and i find myself in agreement with him, and that hurts.Whats your views.

Tiercel 6,986
Is it just because they are using dogs that you oppose it? Would you feel the same if they were using rats or mice? TC

dare 1,103
I agree with animals who are done for sex crimes being used but would it end there? itll no doubt be a private company profiting from it and then how long till its just any criminal who was trying to earn a crust without playing by the rules of the biggest criminals. I dont care what animal personally if its testing something that saves a human life then my attitude is rsther them than us.

marshman 7,757
Why do they use beagles ? I don't know are they any different to other breeds ? Surely there's enough in shelters or stray dogs to use .

Blackbriar 8,569
For testing new drugs and treatments, I'd probably come down in favour. For cosmetics, hair dyes and the like, no!
Hydropotesinermis 724
Animal testing is utterly horrible. If it is at all possible to find the desired result without using any animal then regardless of cost animals should not be used... However. I am totally in favour of testing medicines on animals if the purpose of that testing is to save human life or by extension other animals, and that testing is essential and as a last resort, carried out in as humane a way as possible. Testing cosmetics on animals is unnecessary and in my opinion morally wrong.
