groundnester 2
hi all, just looking for peoples opinions on best pistols to use at the end of a dig. i have been granted a 22lr pistol on humane dispatch grounds as well as fox dispatch (trapping, terrier work) and was wondering what is everyone's preferred choice in respect of semi automatic or the revolver models. i can see some pros and cons in both types. much appreciated for any responses to this post. groundnester. groundnester 2
ah perhaps thats why its stated then as a revolver. only when i was speaking to firearms officer he never said anything when i stated i would go for a semi auto.its not a problem especially as im not sending my cert back into them for changing. any views on best models/makes etc would be most appreciated. TOPPER 1,809
its not worth having semi auto as for humane dispatch it will be limited to 2 shots Quote Link to post
groundnester 2
yeh it has been restricted to a 2 shot.have you used one much topper or do prefer the 410? Quote Link to post
Cargol 302
Iv got a 22 pistol and a 410 folding shotgun. They both do the job but I prefer the 410. And if I could get my hands on a 410 pistol the 22 wouldn't get a look in. Quote Link to post
TOPPER 1,809
my preference is the 410 but I also have .22 and .32 pistols I cant remember the last time I used the .22 Quote Link to post

Pick and bar 381
.410 all day less mechanism to get clogged with dirt, bit more room for error on our part with the accuracy .seen plenty of misses from close quarters, torch in the mouth vertually hanging upside down etc. Quote Link to post
