Stunning ground up there squire. I love watching dogs move sheep in wild country :victory:

So do i mate thats why i chose to do it for a living. Ive sheared what i gathered down this morning so im going up to the top end of the fell in the morning to get another stock of sheep to shear.

just finished shearing the last of ours tonight. last hour by head lights of the truck. that many midge bites, I look like the feckin' elephant man. cold beer time :drinks:
How many did you get done yesterday?

we only did 45. But got one of those calls this morning. The type you should say know to, but never do.
Do you do much shearing?

Your doing fine then if you dont have that much practice i will do 200 a day and im still classed as slow compared to the lads that shear 12 months of the year they will do 300 400 everyday no bother. A lad down the road goes all over the world shearing all year and he's done 35000 sheep this year. Do you do them by hand or with a machine? Edited by Blackdog92

mostly with the electric clippers, but there is a couple of oddballs who want them done with the old hand shears. One of them is an old lass who wants her small hay paddock done with a scythe "like her late husband used to". make no wonders he turned his toes up.

There mabye only sall holders who you do them for? My grandad made me learn with hand shears before i was allowed to use the machine so i know how you feel. How bigs her hay paddock lol it would be a pain if its more than an acre.
