Arry 22,389
Knocking on a bit but moving with the times. Wet today so I made some more nets been making them since I was a kid, but now I make fluorescent nets. I would only use and make hemp up until a year ago. Having tried fluorescent nets i'm sold you don't loose nets, much quicker picking up and easer to keep an eye on tilled holes. They are brilliant. Guys try making your own nets you value them much more and look harder if you can't find one. Cheers Arry 1 Quote Link to post

Cheers Arry Ive only been making nets about 4 years so I skipped the hemp and started with bright spun poly, I love the bright coloured nets very hard to lose one and of course they aren't going to rot like hemp can if not taken care of. Arry 22,389
Hi Pie -Eyed I so agree. but there is still something about making your own nets. more connection, and catching in your first net you have made. Cheers Arry Quote Link to post
The one 8,504
Spend all summer making nets and gardening , with a bit of lamping flung in Quote Link to post
bowburnbandit 20
I started making my own nets about 5 years ago, unfortunately started with nylon but swiftly moved to spun poly. Been making a combo of red and some luminous green/yellow ones must say when I reach for a net I tend to go for the brighter ones. Something satisfying about catching bunnies in my own nets, I sit and make them while watching the TV so it's not so monotonous Quote Link to post
Arry 22,389
like wise watch TV with a beer or a glass of red wine and still knock out a net. I do six with a stripe though them then another six with a different stripe then when picking up in groups of six you notice if you our one down. Hard to lose the bright ones though. Will not be getting rid of my hemp nets but the bright ones will do most of the work. Cheers Arry Quote Link to post
The one 8,504
Same here I moved over to spun nylon nets but still have 300 of my hemp nets in the loft for big days Quote Link to post
Arry 22,389
Have not got that many nets, but we ran out last year in a wood with over 150 out and didn't realise it was all one two old boys running around like spring chickens. Still the one ferret came out of a untilled hole a good 50 yards away at the top of the woods. Cheers Arry Quote Link to post
