Squirrel_Basher 17,100
If the lad has the option to bring in related bitches then Id be using the dog over one of them or more .Brother sister is not the way to start JMO unless they are both outstanding .If not the dog over related bitches will give greater option for future matings .The start of any line should be all about work ,leading to which dofs pass on this work .Many litters ,many culls and gifted pups later you will not need to stress so much on a lining as .the ground work has been done. 1 Quote Link to post

morton 5,368
I am planing on breeding a bitch in the next while its goin ta be a brother sister mating hopefully this i will get the dog to start my own line. All advice would be of great help. One of the best Bedlingtons ive had the pleasure of owning, working and breeding from came about from a Brother and Sister incest related breeding,be prepared to cull hard to take the undesirable factions out of the equation,my lads sister had a jaw that was as overshot as ive ever seen, the cash cow and mercenary merchants would have bred from her, especially the tits in the Aire valley that see dollar signs in any terrier breeding, especially Bedlingtons, another story.Be honest to the terrier,be honest about "your future line" then good luck on your endeavour, acorns and trees mucker.
