Rubbing Your Dog

Recommended Posts

Just read some interesting literature regarding training pit bulls . Apparently rubbing/massaging the dog down is as important as the conditioning.

My understanding is regularly massaging and rubbing down can improve your dogs performance massively

Great to do before and after exercise, but must be done properly, especially after exercise, and a dog that's regularly rubbed down with have a better muscle tone than a dog doing exactly the same exercise without the rub/massaging, most greyhound trainers do there dogs daily

Friction massage is good especially after exercise. You need to go with the muscle grain and rub until you feel the heat on your hands. You can use embrocation to help and also keeps fleas off. Dogs like it aswell and will usually relax after it.
