Pigeon Watch - So Tempted To Try A New Tactic Out.

Recommended Posts

Walking one of the perm`s tonight (no gun), taking in what`s going on, i noticed a lot of woodies landing in the crops creating a large flattened circle some 40 yards diameter.

I took note that the tractor run (tyre lines) ran straight through this circle and carries on through the field.

I fancy my chances camo`d up, with the wheat pulled over the top of me lying prone in the channel and the HW100 kt on a bipod and a decoy or two in this flattened area..

When you think about it, i will be totally concealed until a pigeon walks across the front of that channel in the flattened area.

Roll on weekend. :boogy:

Not at all Mac i don`t carry .22 HW 100 ks for fun ,out to 35/40 + yds i have no hesitation using this rifle, - also absolutely lethal.

Very close to .177 in the hunting field but not quite as good :tongue2:

We going to get some pics anytime soon mark? But the new approach sounds like it should work, nothing will know you are there and might even be confused enough to stand and stare as there neighbours are dropping!

I to noticed the pigeons dropping into the winter barley the other day when I was up the farm seeing how things are getting on ...no obvious flat spots though and they was quite random where They was going in...won't be long now before it's cut and I can get the deeks out.....give it a go mark you won't know unless you try ....good luck.

Ha! Ha!, - i went to Curry`s and bought the Cannon ixus 160,- easily good enough for our requirements.

I got home and my son said "all you need now Dad is a memory card, so another £12 on top of the £70 paid  .

So thinking here we go, stop the lads mythering for gun porn, i have to buy a universal lead of some description to unify the camera to the computer ?

Its like me (a roofer) - "yes love, your roof is £4,000 but the tiles are extra" and gutters are a bit more !
