shropshire dan 467
Cracked cases are common with red tip hornady ammo as well buddy Quote Link to post
kenj 131
Agreed. Found a few cracked cases in my last 50 red tips. Quote Link to post
shropshire dan 467
When I found cracked cases I just used them on targets whilst zeroing. At least them I could be 100% sure the bullet has come out of the barrel Quote Link to post
darrendigger 19
My new ones are a slight off red colour i got 250 of them last week i will check cheers lads dd Quote Link to post
shropshire dan 467
That slight off red is it like a brown colour if so it's a lube they use bud. That's what I was told when I called any how. It does wipe off if you want to clean them but I didn't find any performance difference Quote Link to post

That's news to me, his excuse for not having any I suspect and selling you something more expensive...... that he just happened to have in stock. Split cases before and after firing are common on all makes of HMR ammo unfortunately! Quote Link to post

Born Hunter 17,751
f**k me, I must be the only person in the country that doesn't have problems with their 17. Just shot half a dozen tonight with it, 200 yard head shot I was particularly pleased with. Nothing spectacular but I find it a bloody useful rifle to have sat on the passenger seat. SportingShooter 0
I've never known a calibre cause so many threads, questions, concerns, dangers, delight and controversy all at the same time. Mine worked fine, I just didn't use it with the reloads for the centrefire being cheaper to shoot than it was, mine was a bit ammo fussy, it much preferred Winchester to anything else.
