jok 3,260
You will think me crazy and undoubtably am but bear me out. I ran a fairly big shoot and on it we had 5 flight ponds. The main farm was dairy. Therefore cow cake was in abundance. Now, a friend of mine ran the markets, fruit and veg. Guess what the ducks liked best. Bananas. They went mad for them. Go on then have a laugh. I did then but the farmer thought it was brilliant not having 400 mallard eating his cowcake. Now I am not saying this is a supplement to their normal diet but by gum they ate well. Food for thought.

Lab 10,979
I've never bred ducks but I'm pretty sure you get a range of feed like Stater Crumb, Mini, then Grower for Ducks...exactly like you do for pheasant and partridge. Good to give them a real good start but once up they will eat all sorts. Easy reared and don't die easy.
ferret333 746
I have ducks and chickens, I'm swaying more towards ducks! They take duck crumb and grower when young then I feed layers pellet and mixed corn when adult. Feed must not contain anti coxoid as meant for chickens not hens and I'm sure ducks due from it.

PeskyWabbits 464
November answer to a July topic, sorry just joined. I started with 3 muscovy ducks and a drake and they multiplied to 15 ducks and 7 drakes, with some predator and weather fatalities on the way. My ducklings would start on duck crumbs but move on by choice to mixed corn or grass or leaves. Usually this would be during the second week which does seem a bit early.
