Nice One David Cameron

80% of the people in this country don't really give a toss whether people hunt or not. But when shown emotive images say they do not like it. Try telling someone, who thinks chickens come from ASDA and milk from bottles, that it is natural for one animal to kill another. There is a way around it though. Yes siree. Get yourself a coursing cheetah nothing in the hunting act says you cannot course hares with a cheetah.

a combination of f#cktards with camera phones and face book hasn't helped our cause either

People who show the white flag at the first sign of a skirmish dont help anyones cause. i will carry on with my country activities regardless , would rather do it within the law to the best of my abi

With all due respect, I don't think you actually grasp the law.   It is illegal to hunt fox or hare with hounds. it is illegal to hunt fox or hare with lurchers. It is legal to flush fox and hare

I find some of these anti Tory posts about trying to bring back hunting a bit hard to fathom what ever political party you back the long and short of it is that the Labour Party banned hunting with dogs purely to f##k over the Tories wrongly thinking all hunting people are toffs. If they get any amendment which is a big if, we what ever form of hunting we participate in it's got to be a move in the right direction although admittedly it won't help all of us. Just don't forget who the enemy really is!

Spot on!

DC supports hunting but most likely knows that a vote for a complete overturn won't end in a positive result. Any move in this direction is a bonus.

The anti/pro hunting argument is one that will out live all of us, there will never be an easy resolution to it so we need to expect only small victories as a best case scenario. Worse case is labour get in again and manage to put further nails in the coffin of field sports

Then why the free vote? Get them under the whip and to tow the party line. That's how it was passed in the first place, that and an ancient law that overruled the house of lords.

may well be a worse case for you, I don't follow hounds much, I do keep lurchers and hunt rabbits. Before ban tho I enjoyed a day coursing with lurchers, okay dc is pro fox hunting, what about guys that like coursing and running deer like before the ban? Worse case for me is torys, making under hand deals to ensure fox hunting stays, but fooks coursers and lurcher men off, we expect that from labour, if tories turn there backs on us aswell that will be worst case

I don't follow hounds either and only keep lurchers. I don't think there's a snowflake in hells chance a repeal on the ban on deer and fox with lurchers would get through. Particularly after the sort of press over the past ten years. I know it means a lot to the likes of us but we do represent a very small minority. Anything that gives us something back IMO is a good thing

Said at the start and I'll say it again, as will MANY others, doesn't matter who, what or why you've voted for, the ban will NOT be reapealed. Almost the whole country, percentage wise, is against hunting with dogs, it's NOT going to be changed because a VERY small minority of the country's population go hunting, in any form.

spot on, there might be loop hole for hunting with horse+hounds , but running dogs and terriers will be left in the history books and stay there, its gone for ever now

One of the most powerful man in British politics is a keen hunting man and wants it to continue, its our best chance to get at least a semblance of it back ffs

Go for it!

Cheers, D.
