Born Hunter 17,763
You can't educate pork is the old saying. But its you who needs to show me where its illegal to take a fox with a lurcher on the run? Not for me to tell you how its legal! Been there defended it and won! What have you done? "A person commits an offence if he hunts a wild mammal with a dog, unless his hunting is exempt." That's straight off the Governments website. So it IS entirely up to you to prove otherwise. Christ, what do you want... me to do it for you? You make no mention of any circumstances that would qualify for the necessary exemptions. So It's quite clearly an illegal act. While you're at it, point me at the mention of 'baiting' in the same piece of legislation.
DIDO.1 22,829
Keep your hair on! We can't have a vote on repeal until we have English votes on English laws....so...this is just a step. The conservatives and Cameron are still committed to repeal....lurchers and all!
stop.end 4,079
Lol is a mouse a rat and a rabbit also mammals? But your still allowed to hunt them! Why do you think there is exemptions for? A bit of craic! Where does it say that it's illegal to take a fox on the run? Research the act yourself and find it yourself! You think I'm making it up? Lol Its a joke with a username like yours you don't even know the laws... Then when folk who defends your right to hunt try and explain exemptions you try and act all Cambridge! (Educated) as I said you stick to game of thrones and physics son...for legal hunting just seems to much for you to grasp!
Born Hunter 17,763
LOL, so again, you can't prove it. f***ing hell I've got to start a list of the lunatics on here.
bobcullen79 1,495
It would be nieve to think that the CA would push the government into anything other than helping hunts. At best we could hope to get a blanket repeal but though i've always fought for it i've always known the CA ain't interested in the likes of me. For lurcher & terrier folk nothing will change and its hardly a step in any direction! In response to your other reply about lobbying Dim Boner to ask what hes doing for us, I replied to his new email begging for help again with this - What if anything are the countryside alliance doing to help folk with running dogs? I suspect many of the votes to over turn the ban came from folk like myself who own lurchers. And I fear the support will end as soon as people like myself find that any amendments will not make a bit of difference to the working class working dog owner. I hope to get a reply, seeing as I done my bit by emailing my local mp and forwarding her response. Yours in sport, Bob Cullen. See what he`s got to say...

Rats and Rabbits only! You seem set that because that it does not say you cannot take a fox on the run with a lurcher then you can. Try it and see. TC
kanny 20,602
Mammals unless exempt...rabbit and rat are exempt.
bobcullen79 1,495
Feck me, that was quick, even if it was one of his lackies Hi Bob,Thanks so much for your email. The amendment that we're asking for cannot repeal the ban on competitive coursing, which is one reason why we believe repeal is still essential. This is an annoying step to get us in a position to outright repeal this ridiculous ban.I completely see that to a lot of people this amendment only benefits fox hunters, but I hope that coursers and beaglers will see that this is a step in the right direction, and that we are in no way giving up on a repeal for every one - we won't rest until we have overturned this stupid Ban once and for all! Please feel free to email me directly if you want to chat further at cleo-watson@countryside-alliance.orgCleo
Born Hunter 17,763
but if your flushing or tracking and your dog catches on the run, wether it be hare, deer or fox, them shit happens and nowt can be done about it This might f**k you up. (7)The fifth condition is that (a)reasonable steps are taken for the purpose of ensuring that as soon as possible after being found or flushed out the wild mammal is shot dead by a competent person, and (b)in particular, each dog used in the stalking or flushing out is kept under sufficiently close control to ensure that it does not prevent or obstruct achievement of the objective in paragraph (a). Then it is an accident that you did not intend to happen. TC

kanny 20,602
Personally I think IF we are lucky we will get fox added to the exempt list as for hare and deer no chance there's to many other issues connected with them especially the Hare..I can't see any of the big land owners backing it thanks to a certain type.

jeemes 4,484
I have been told tonight by someone from the CA that this ammendment is just to do with upland farmers and not concerning mounted packs and that repeal is still the goal..
truescot 234
Anyone watch that interview with Brian May and Andrew Neil ,portillo? That may is trully one ignorant man.
