Blackbriar 8,569
.......died earlier today, aged 88. Sometimes treated light-heartedly for his colourful sweaters and rocking chair, he was, in truth, a much loved and respected musician, who dominated Saturday night entertainment for many years His TV show pulled in 19 million viewers, and he recorded more than 50 albums........one of which knocked "Sgt. Pepper" off the number one spot !! Rest in peace, Val. Edited July 2, 2015 by Blackbriar
Tiercel 6,986
Heard it this morning on the news. His daughter stated he had not been ill, his time was up and he just run out of steam. I thought that was fitting. TC
