Lab 10,979
I would not tolerate anyone slapping a child in front of me! That's no internet hard talk either! Well I can assure you my mums response would be "He's my child and I'll do what I like, now f**k off". Happened plenty times. The thing is although my mum was hard on me I thank her for it. Turned out ok.
walshie 2,804
My mother was partial to giving my ears a boxing when required and look what a nice well-rounded individual I turned out to be. Seriously though, don't we have enough rules and regulations in this country without being told how to bring up our own kids?
truescot 234
Oh I'm sure she would tell me to f**k off. My father did the same. Thank f**k we live in a country where it's illegal. That's all you get "I got battered didn't do me any harm" .im sure if you could go back in time and re live it,you would see how much it was out of order. We did a lot of things back in the old days, don't make it right. Well as an adult now,I will always step in for the defence of child or someone who the odds are against.

You keep on talking about stepping in. What situation u going on about. If I was telling my kid off in the shop and he was crying? If you walked around the corner and I smacked his are for something? If your don't have the full facts when do you know when to "step in"
truescot 234
Well if you actually took the time to read the last few posts, you would know exactly the situation I was on about. And no I wouldn't say anything about a tap on the arse. I pretty sure I'm smart enough to know what's acceptable and what's not.
hubbs 178
It's the point I was making , we are talking about level headed beings , but the reason some laws are bought in is to stop people like I mentioned taking the piss , some people haven't got a brain cell to even comprehend what there doing

NEWKID 27,763
I was in the bath when I was s kid maybe 8 or so.. Doing that thing where you slide back and forward getting a big wave going.. Well this was a good wave, up one end and over the bath, up the other and over the top.. The floor was flooded, but I was having a great time... Until I heard the bellow!! It turns out the old man was cooking up some grub in the kitchen when water started dripping on his head, he was up the stairs 2 at a time.. Stood me up and whacked me accross the ass full pelt.. This was where I made a mistake.. I never cried... He left the bathroom.. And waited a few seconds.. Then boom, the door flew open.. "WHY ARENT YOU CRYING"... "DIDNT I HIT YOU HARD ENOUGH".. That was it I forced a big cry but it was too late.. Bang another good belt!! For not crying ffs..
NEWKID 27,763
My dad was instant rage, whack bang wallop, then the guilt set in and he'd want to make up.. I never got that, and we had a strained relationship as I hit late teens early 20's and if I'm honest I never liked him then.. I like him a lot now, and understand some of the shit that makes us who we are!! My mum was great, but f**k being on the wrong side of her, she would see punishments through.. A week in bed straight after school, meant just that.. No going football that weekend and sure as hell youd be in your room watching your mates go.. She only hit me a couple of times.. But she was ckever.. I smoked with the baby sitter one night, I was about 10, my mum found out and forced me to smoke a pack of 10.. I got to 8 and spewed... Never smoked again lol.. Me and my bro was in the bath together.. He done something and when my mum burst in he said it was me.. She knew he was lying " tell the truth or your in big trouble".. He lied again... Bang!! A bar of soap was in his gob and being grated on his teeth.. I'll never forget my brother sat there crying his eyes out with big bubbles coming out of his mouth lol Edited July 2, 2015 by NEWKID

Well I can assure you my mums response would be "He's my child and I'll do what I like, now f**k off".Happened plenty times. Not sure on how old i was but too young for me to remember. My mum told me the story plenty of times though. Was going to the shop and kicked off when my mum was putting sun cream on me so she ended up slapping my arse. Was a builder working on the house next door and he shouted at my mum for slapping me. Way back from the shop walking past the house again i told the builder if he shouts at my mum again ill kick his balls lol. Remember the days when my mum would be going on at me what to do if a man pulls up and tells you to get in the car or offers you sweets. Must have thought i was superman because i would always answer kick em in the balls lol.

And no I wouldn't say anything about a tap on the arse. I pretty sure I'm smart enough to know what's acceptable and what's not. that's it true, you see what happens with some people what starts as a smack across the legs on a kid, can overtime lead to harder punishment given out, that's what happened in my case if you read my thread . that's why I never hit my son, just because my parents did it to me , don't make it right, as said both my mom + dad never had any patience , so most times you were hit with frustration/ anger . and that's no way to discipline a child , all it does is give resentment to them I said before some kids need a smack on the arse and some don't all kids are different , but a wound up mom or dad (don't) all ways see it like that , that the prob
