Not sure if this is the right forum so please move if it's not...

IM looking for some new reading material for the summer, specifically books about hunting with dogs. I' want novel or books with a story rather than instrucionals. Not really bothered about quarry or what part of the world but what are the best books you have read about hunting with dogs? Any recommendations?

Chapter 8's a good one.

If you like this then more of Sir Samuel Baker's books are available on that site, either to download or to read online. Nothing like hearing someones experiences live, from another time and age.

Free of charge too!!!

attachicon.gifimage.jpgthe best two books I've read bought them recent and didn't put them down untill i had finished id recommend these two to any one who likes a read and I think both the authors use this forum

I liked "a bird in the hand" by Bill Doherty myself. It's about birds rather than dogs but as I knew the places he talks about i found it quite ......evocative?? ..,.emotional??? I enjoyed it anyway :laugh::laugh: .
