And that is why people should think carefully before breeding. 3 hours a day in this weather would knacker most dogs and your's is still a handful ?

Sad that a breed such as this ends up as someones reject.

Fair play to you for taking him on but working terriers need an outlet that a stroll in the park usually wont satisfy and tales like your's often end with a sad story, a dead terrier and a big bill.

Anyone putting such breeds into pet homes IMO is a disgrace.

When you say 3 hours walk do you mean 3 hours pottering round the park on lead, 3 hours pounding pavement at a jogging pace or 3 hours looning about off the lead?

It might not be the amount of exercise he's getting so much as the quality. You need to stimulate his mind as well his body, take him to new areas finding interesting smells to sniff and trails to follow etc or playing games with him that make him use the old grey matter.

look into springpoles and flirtpoles 15 mins after a walk will tire him out, give him bones to eat through the day, maybe a kong filled with peanut butter.

but make sure you only exercise him when it's cool in the evening or morning.
