get some more meat and animal fat into the pup, and feed as much as it will eat at a sitting. If you must feed a complete food then use something that has meat listed as the first ingredient on the back or side of the bag. Yes, good complete foods cost at least twice as much as stuff like Gain, but you will notice the difference within a week, also in coat quality. Something, though it pains me to say it, like Iams or Purina Proplan, but raw is best. You can see from the muscles, or lack of them, in the hind legs, that this pup is seriously lacking in digestible protein: pups need masses of protein to grow strong bones and muscles, and plenty of fat for energy.

OK, the photos may not do the pup justice, but I've found that generally speaking, dogs look fatter in photos than they do in real life, so with that in mind, even a Saluki type pup shouldn't be showing that much rib or be that wasted on the hind end.

That pup is carrying absolutely no muscle and seriously needs some protein in it ... No matter what the breed a pup of that age should not be that thin ... There is no shoulder muscle no rear muscle and has a back like a razor blade ... I would be feeding that pup four times a day with quality beef and chicken ... And every few days some tinned fish eggs wholemeal bread etc ... You'd be surprised how quickly that pup will muscle up .......

Get some more meals in it, I'd be feeding 3 x a day if possible, (i.e you're not at work all day) and if not 2 bigger meals, one in the morning and one in the evening. A tin of sardines a couple of times a week will do the world of good, about 70p in Aldi!

I feed my pup as much as it will eat at the minute chicken wings lambs hearts are good cheap food from tesco also liver and kidneys cost next to nothing and cooked in slow cooker makes an ideal mix with dry food I use James well beloved and of course rabbit which any decent hunter should get for freepost-99422-0-50565600-1435600857_thumb.jpg

Some do, some don't. Cooking actually makes it easier for the dog to release the nutrients, same as cooking meat for us.

Tbh mine doesn't give a fuuck he's either hungry or not but I feed him a lot maybe 1.5-2kg a day so if he doesn't eat for one day it's no biggie  plus the heat here has an effect how much he eats and it's like a furnace right now.
