walshie 2,804
Heat wave? I thought heat waves were sustained periods of abnormally high temperatures, not one day when it was a bit muggy.
dare 1,103
Lol walsh you must be old . My mum discribed the weather as muggy, thought i was hearing things. If someone does something thats a liberty id use the word muggy. Pulled my mum on it when she used it for the weather n got told its because im young and old people would use the word for the weather. I aint complaining about the heat but its not the same as being on holiday is it. Dont know if thats because when away you know your away to relax n be away from everything. Got a mate near me with a swimming pool in the garden so could go there n be in the drink like was abroad but still just aint the same. will be hot/warm from now till september right? I just hope we dont have a week or 2 and everyone says what a good summer it was lol.

Apologies for using words in the English dictionary instead of bad boy lingo. muggy adjective, muggier, muggiest. 1.(of the atmosphere, weather, etc.) oppressively humid; damp and close. Tiercel 6,986
We will have to step up your Welsh training Walshie. It is never muggy in Wales it's always close. Heat wave? I thought heat waves were sustained periods of abnormally high temperatures, not one day when it was a bit muggy. Heat wave? It stayed long enough to wave and that was about it.
