Guest Rcarter
Ive got a 14 month old springer spaniel who i thought was coming on reasonably well untill i brought her out on a partridge shoot yesterday. She went mad and completley ignored my commands :realmad: shes very head strong and no matter how many times you punish her for doing somthing, she still does it. Any help would be appricated on how to deal with such a willfull dog.

gnipper 6,501
You'd probably be better taking her on the lead a few times mate to get used to all the hullabaloo first and perhaps hang back at the end of a drive and let her pick a bird in a quiet area or a root in somewhere thats already been driven so there is scent but now't to chase after. There was someone out on ours today with a little lab pup thats probably just had its jabs but it helps to get em out early imo.
Guest Rcarter
Thanks for the advice. Hopefully she will calm down soon ,it was her first time out. she just seems to go deaf to commands when shes on to game. Maybe try and find someone how would rent out a rabbit pen as i have heard there good for steadying dogs.
