Im chuffedd is an understatement my peat thraot is sitting tight on 5 eggs hopefully full as i lost a nice peathroat cock ie her intended partner to a fight i belive to another finch so im hoping the poor lad died becuase the new cock wanted the hen . Id bought him for the remaining two cannary hens in flight but has nested with the hen would he thread my other 2 canarys aswel or Favour his own .

Well done and good luck with them delboy :thumbs: ,the cock will tread both the canary hens no problem and in fact it'll keep him satisfied and will help stop him from driving the goldie hen off her nest if he's reved up to much.I've done the very same thing and produced plenty of mules as well as pures and that finch hen will go for her own kind if she can but will mate with other cocks if she can't or hasn't paired with a certain one of another type,the urge to breed is a powerfull one and when a bird wants it she gets it eh :laugh: ...
