Just my opinion but I think 250 is a bit much for pups regardless of breeding I think 150-200 is a fair price. Best of luck with the pups tho fella should be great dogs for edible quarry 1 Quote Link to post
nothernlite 18,089
Max no offence doesn't cost much mate and there's mongrels mate that's what's wrong today people wanting to much for them most people that breed for a pup for theres self are happy if they get decent homes for there pups rather than cash rew not running you down your pups are probally worth that mate no disrespect just no my cup of tea and most lurcher lads I know good luck 2 Quote Link to post
jcm 2,327
JCM How much would a Lab 'Springer or Cocker cost you ? Try doing a litter of pups correctly from pre mateing ie' cleaning out the bitch with Synoloux and worming her pre mateing. Then the pups and the bitch correctly with Drontal plus puppy and Panucure adult liquid at 2'4'6'8'weeks of age. Feeding them the best Nutts and Barf. Supplementation ie White E ect. Innoculations for all the pups. Then there is the possibility of Big Vet Bills. £250 is Nothing for a Wellbred Working Lurcher Pup done right at 8 Wks old mate. Yes I understand the cost of rearing a litter but the sale of one or two pups would cover costs and for other breeds I just wouldn't pay it for them personally Quote Link to post

NEWSBOY 306
It don't cost much to rear a litter right lol Stud Fee 200-500 Innoculations 30 per pup x around 6 = 180 Synoloux to clean the bitch out pre mateing around 20-30 Worming of the bitch say she breaks 10 Worming of the bitch 6 weeks into pregnancy 10 Bottle of Panucure Adult Liquid to worm bitch every two weeks when pups are on her 20 Couple bottles of Drontal Puppy liquid to worm the pups every two Wks 40 Few bags of good nuts ie Aussy Formular or Gain 60 100 quids worth of Beef and Chicken Veg Pasta 20-30 Supplements Tub of white E 25-30 Tub of bonemeal 10 Can of Super Solvtax horse oil 25 Tub of That Bit Xtra 15 Bedding - Swadust/Woodshaveings 50 Then like I say you could end up with a vet bill of upto 1500 quid if things go wrong when bitch is whelping down. Add that lot up Done right there's no profit in pups You will cover costs and that's about it. jesus, never heard owt like it, way ott imo. 2 Quote Link to post
