Chicken_man 1,651
When do folks consider too.late for hatching?
MoChara 1,632
I wouldn't go any further than end July. Even at that though seasons turning by the time they're a month.

devon flighter 421
put 6 under a broody for a mate, last here though ! hope they do ok for him,it would have been a waste of a broody not to use her, she is sitting like glue .a few of my own growing on ,its not been brilliant % wise but its my first year at it . Chicken_man 1,651
Usually I would stop now, purely for light and growing on. But I'm tempted to hatch one more batch :-) You know.what it's like, just one more :-) Thanks folks. Atb

MoChara 1,632
You should, cm. I'm bloody raging I can't do a hatch until I see what's happening with these duck eggs I had a white rhea ordered from England being brought to NI with around 20 others but didn't work out cause they can't be by themselves and at 200 per one plus travel to get the shits it's not working out. Sooooo, will have to wait and hatch out some maybe next year, we will see
Chicken_man 1,651
Now why am I not surprised that you might be getting Rhea :-). You have a wee zoo there. Bet folk enjoy visiting your place :-) I might hatch a batch, but probably would have to give light.and vits later on to get decent results. Late hatching can result in them being a bit stunted, I don't want that, would be a waste. So I have actually talked myself out of it :-) sensible outcome really. Good luck :-)

stevo79 569
Well I would normally of stopped but I've bought some silver laced wyandottes of a breeder in cheshire who has won the national. So I've stuck a load of eggs in just because I'd like some birds for next year.
