Just a little observation. As abhorrent as we feel the practice is, perhaps that is how the antis feel about the way we hunt? . TC

spot on
Do we burn the hair off live badgers foxes etc ... Do we skin animals alive ... Do we beat our quarry to death so it supposedly tastes better ...mhardly the same is it ......
I didn't say it the same im just agreeing it probably the same way antis look at normal hunting folk

So...:there a bunch of f***ing weirdos without an ounce of common sense. The two things are a world apart.

Canny believe there even being compared on a hunting site.

Much as I've no time for antis I would credit them with the ability to differentiate between hunting here and what those wee slanty eyed bstards do to animals.

You are actually too kind to the antis. They do not think like rational humans, hence that is why they are anti hunting of any kind. They are emotionally lead by the heart not the brain. We can see what happens in China is wrong in our eyes, but it is not wrong in theirs. so who is right?

We obviously think we are because we believe all animals should be killed as humanly as possible. Yet we are willing to keep humans alive and in pain without blinking an eyelid.

Go figure.

The majority don't but you know the antis have plenty of anecdotes about sick fucks that do and they love to spread them far and wide. Have you not stopped to think that's what's happened here? Remember most of these videos decrying the Chinese dog meat and fur trades are made by PETA...

And we really don't have any business judging other cultures traditions and way of doing things. In SE Asia they don't see animals in the same way we do, we cant enforce our standards on them just like we wouldn't want them forcing theirs on us.

I say they want to eat dog and all their other cruel dishes (eating fish alive etc) in their home country then let them crack on but they better not try doing it over here.

Just a thought, not widespread here I know, but it does happen. Do they hunt animals kill them, then throw them in a hedge? I am willing to bet they would find that abhorrent too. To answer your question though, It is not the same and you are right we do none of the things you mentioned as a rule. Although there are factions that go under the guise of "hunters" that do far worse.

My point that it seems only a few grasped was that, no matter the truth of our ethics when hunting, or our commitment to give the hunted animal as quick and humane as possible despatch. The anti hunting fraternity will always disregard that fact and use emotive propaganda to highlight what they believe is inhumane.

You could probably go on a Chinese forum and read people saying " can you believe them silly British c**ts actually keep dogs as pets "..........who are we to say what cultures right and wrong, what they do is wrong for me personally but who am i to judge......we have to accept that some people find our habits disgusting and vice versa i dont have a problem with that we,re all different and not every culture places the same importance on animal life that we do.

Theres no actual concept of animal cruelty in china, leastways there wasnt when i first went there 25 years ago,one old guy told me animals have no souls so they dont matter, nowadays times are changing, with new money comes new ideas, not everyone agrees with the dog festival and theres a backlash against it in-country.

I see your point but I'm not buying it. there's not a real hunter alive that wants to see a animal suffer or taken to the brink of extinction... to say it's ok it's there way just don't cut it not with me anyway ....fuk respecting there traditions when it comes to the way they treat animals they rape the earth and the seas more than any other culture and if they don't know it's wrong by now it's time they was told........oi twats NO!
