Recommended Posts

What the hell is going on with firearms departments these days, sent for mine months ago now and not heard a thing but they took the money within two weeks!

Is a fkn joke, nowhere else would you pay for something and wait months for it!

I sent off my sgc about 3 weeks ago, recieved an envelope in the post from them with a storage safety leaflet and a letter asking me for a letter off the land owner where I'm going to shoot ??? I wasn't aware you had to provide this information for a shotgun and have tried phoning to confirm this fact or if they've got mixed up with an fac application but no answer. Somebody shed some light on this please as I think this could only delay it further (or maybe that's their plan).

Lost patience today and called the firearms department, apparently it's at the next stage and I should hear from somebody in the next few weeks!

I don't see how a phone call to your reference and a quick visit to check your cabinet can take 5 mths plus to sort out, absolute joke!!!!

No legal requirement for written or verbal permission to shoot for a Shotgun Certificate. Only for a Firearms where it is to be used for land shooting.

Email them is probably best.
