Recommended Posts

Finally managed to download pictures of my NV scope as requested by several people. This handfull of rabitts were taken on a mopping up exercise where I am just finishing a job. Every tom dick and harry has been lamping these rabitts spooked aint the word for it. This is where this gear is going to earn its keep!

Me thinks you had better check that freezer of yours, there must be a huge hole in the bottom of it, the amount of rabbits you have been knocking over the thing should be bursting at the seams. :whistling:

We managed a few more MT how did you get on?

Magwitch, got 5 more than you. :tongue2: , was very quiet and there arent to many left on that paticular job now.

Richie, depends on a few things, also got to remember that i have it on my .22 rimmy and the laser is set at around 65-75 yds, most people have this unit on a centrefire and apparently are able to shoot foxes out to 200 yds. With the mag set on 5X on my scope i can clearly make out rabbits not just their eyes to about 90 ish yds.

Regards MT.

i also have mine on my rimmy. got my merlin attached back on my simmons 4-12x44 i use x6 most of the time & i can see rabbits clearly out to approx 120yds ish and make out the shape of the rabbit no problem, but going past that the shape is less clearer & getting on hard to make out, even though i can see eyes way over 175/200yds. ive tried mine on a few different scopes & there is quite a bit of difference in clarity, so i dont know if im missing out on something....

they " nightvisionsupplies " advised me to use a falcon optics 10x42T. just dont fancy having it on x10 especially if im only shooting out to 80/90yds

what scope did you find best suited to your add-on ?

Most of my shooting is done at 55-75 yards' has long as i get a good image of the rabbit i know its in range, but be careful not to shoot at just the eyes because it may turn out to be a partridge

i always make sure i know my target before the trigger gets pulled. just picked up another 600 acres or so and spent a good couple of visits before i even thought of taking my rimmy there. and dont worry pat, i wouldnt just shoot at a pair of eyes. :icon_eek: . i aint been out with it for a while now with the nv, gonna get out tomorrow night.

ill say one thing though.... nv is addictive.
