shovel 160
I have a peips box.it's about 5 yrs old. Towards end of last season it was giving an incorrect depth reading. E.g. at around 1mt depth it would read about 1.8mt on the box. I know this might suit some lads down the pub talking about deep digs but it's painful to use on deeper digs.anyone come across this problem before? Quote Link to post
undertaker 831
I had a problem with a box before was reading wrong when close to a fiberglass handle shovel Quote Link to post
THE GENERAL 1,982
IVe never had an incorrect reading before but I did find the readings would jump up sometimes say the difference in 1 meter but after a second went back to the original one. It never bothered me and I put it down the the batteries maybe getting low. Then when it occurred when I knew the batteries were new it had me well puzzled. It happened one day out with a friend and he said was my mobile on? It was so I turned it off and it hasn't happened since, he said only certain phones can interfere with it. I doubt that's your problem though pal. Atb. Edited June 19, 2015 by THE GENERAL Quote Link to post

Didn realise phone could interfere with the reading.tried it out in the yard this morning with no phones on and its still the same.wonder if the box can be calibrated. Hopefully i dont have to cough up for a new box.cause the box is in could shape otherwise. Quote Link to post
